A career built backstage.
Christine came up the long way — behind the chair through the 1980s, earning a reputation for natural, dimensional color at a time when bolder always meant more damage. She refused the trade-off, and clients followed.
In 2008 she met stylist and educator Jon Reyman backstage at Fashion Week. The two ran the show circuit together across the U.S. and Europe — runways, editorial sets, and the main stage for the industry's leading brands — and kept arriving at the same idea: the salon they wanted didn't exist yet.
So in 2013 they built it. Spoke & Weal opened as a stylist-forward house — collaborative by design, generous with its people, and obsessive about the craft. A decade on, it's ten salons across nine cities, with Christine still leading every colorist in the company.

Off the floor, Christine keeps it consistent — a vegan kitchen, a regular yoga mat, acupuncture, and a deep trust in the idea that if you stay true to the work, “you'll end up landing where you need to land.” What still lights her up most is the newest colorist walking in the door — someone hungry to learn, ready to be shaped, about to make the wheel turn a little faster.
